Cops using weaponised DRONES to wage stealthy war on ISIS scumbags in the street – Daily Star

Incredible footage taken using the gadget’s on-board HD camera shows the deadly accuracy of the quadcopter machines as they are able to silently glide above their target before releasing the killer cargo.

The first clip shows how the rockets are able to find their mark in heavily built-up areas of the city, landing in a narrow alleyway on a group of holed-up ISIS fighters.

And in the second, the stealthy chopper silently stalks a group of jihadis walking across the street before unloading a shell that hits its target with killer precision.

DIY WARFARE: Iraqi police have begun bombing ISIS targets with quadcopter drones

The video – said to be filmed in the former ISIS stronghold of Mosul in northern Iraq – has surprised viewers across the globe, who have hailed it as the beginning of “a new kind of warfare”.

It has been seen thousands of times since being uploaded to Twitter earlier this month.

“I gotta say, this is insane. This is the future right here and now, being used on a modern battlefield,” wrote one viewer.

“War has always been about who adapts best to the fight at hand. Learning and adaptation has been a hallmark of warfare since eternity. I guess it brings it home that the potential for western soldiers to be killed by remote control machines has increased so markedly in the last 10 years.

“Perhaps one day it will simply fall to machines fighting wars, in lieu of humans.

“That may or may not be a good thing.”

It comes after Russia reportedly increased its military efforts in the region after one of Vladimir Putin’s top generals was maimed in a roadside bomb attack near Palmyra, Syria.
